Yoga is the path
1.) Tell me about your personal journey with yoga. Why is it important to you?
Yoga’s unique combination of strength, flexibility and balance has helped me gain confidence physically, mentally, and emotionally. It has given me a deeper sense of compassion towards myself and others.
2.) When did you first begin teaching yoga? What made you transition into a leadership position?
I started teaching in 2010. I am humbled to be considered a leader in the Core Power Yoga (CPY) community. I believe great leadership starts with one’s ability to inspire and be inspired. I will always remain a student first and continue my journey of personal growth both on and off my mat. “Leaders become great, not because of their power, but because of their ability to empower others.”

3.) What makes your classes unique?I believe creativity, compassion, love and laughter keep my world going round. My many moments and walks of life have led me to teach and it’s these moments that help me to bring humor, support, and a non-judgmental attitude to my classes. I feel that it is important to let my students know that a yoga practice can be fun and accessible for all ages. I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach others by offering them tools to deepen their practice. Most of all I get to build life long connections with students and be a witness to some pretty amazing life changing moments.
4.) How does music benefit your guidance in a yoga class?
Music is the food for the soul. I believe music is what helps our heart beat a little faster and our booty’s shake a little more. I love how music inspires, moves and rocks the soul. It has the capacity to evoke emotion, shift perspective and inspire a smile!
5.) Tell me about your next event and where we can follow you online.
My next event will be at Mission Valley Core Power Yoga on Monday, July 25th. Lindsay and I are co-teaching a black light body weight sculpt yoga class! Wear your brightest brights and come ready to groove to some 80’s jams! 8:30pm!! Come early and paint yourself up to glow and flow with us!
